  • Employer or flight school
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type (collected automatically when you use the site)

Why We Process Your Data

We process your data for the following purposes:

  • Managing your membership in the Blue Jay Aviation community
  • Verifying your professional credentials
  • Sending community updates and relevant professional information
  • Improving our platform and services

Legal basis: legitimate interest (community management) and consent (communications). You may withdraw consent at any time.

Retention Periods

We retain your data for as long as your membership is active, plus 12 months. Application data (including uploaded documents) is deleted within 30 days of the application decision.

Third Parties

We share data only with essential service providers:

  • Supabase (database hosting, EU region)
  • Telegram (community platform, used to deliver messages to members)
  • Vercel (website hosting)

Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data ('right to be forgotten')
  • Receive your data in a portable format
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interest
